Seems like at first take the prednisone and topical steroids were working but then the last two days while taking the prednisone and putting the topical steroids on it seems to be getting worse. Today is kind of bad. I felt fine this morning then put some fluocinonoide on today and 25 mins later it started to burn. Could it be interacting with the steroids to make it worse? And should I stop taking the topical? I wasn’t told to it’s just leftovers from last time.

Some things like fungal infections can be made worse by steroids. Often the course of treatment given is too short for skin rashes. Dermatologists often use a 3 week taper of prednisone to avoid a rebound flare of rash as the dose gets lower. The fluocinonide is unlikely to be reacting with the prednisone as they are similar drugs. Need to call your doc.
